Bivens v. Six Unknown Federal Agents: Supreme Court Weighs In On Officer Arrests Without Just Cause


Back in 1971 the Supreme Court faced a case dealing with similar issues to ones that have recently arisen. Six Anonymous Federal Agents arrested an individual without just cause or a warrant. The question facing the Supreme Court was, facing those facts, what should we do? Specifically should we allow a civil action to take place in federal court and should the officers have the right to remain anonymous. This is what happened.
